Kate and Eric in Ireland
Day 7

We can't believe that a week has passed since we left home.

The weather has finally shaped up so we were treated to a beautiful sunny and warm day. Sorcha knocked at 10:30 to deliver breakfast in bed. Another great breakfast. We felt a little rough in the morning, so we took our time getting pulled together. We spent most of the day strolling around the neighborhood. It was a bank holiday, so everybody was strolling around and lazing in the sunshine. There was a small market set up, and quite a few more street performers than usual.

We had almost run out of clean clothes, so we had to get the laundry done. Unfortunately, the machine here is quite small, and other folks needed to use the wash. All told, we had six loads of laundry. We started the night before, and as of right now, 10:38 PM, the last load is still in the WASH! Nearly all out socks and pants got drenched and funky in the days prior, so it was a necessity. We'll be careful to re-wear whatever we can from now on.

We started walking toward Salthill, but wound up at the lighthouse. These are pictures of the Corrib river and Galway Bay hooking up:
